DAMBULLA: Tensions flared after India A’s defeat to Sri Lanka A when players were involved in an on-field altercation following the match.

According to reports and a video circulating on social media, Indian batter Suryavanshi pushed Sri Lankan player Vishen Hallambage after the final result, prompting the Sri Lankan player to respond by pushing him away. Other players quickly intervened to separate the two sides and prevent the situation from escalating further.

Earlier during the match, India A captain Tilak Varma was also seen engaged in heated exchanges with the umpires.

India A had already suffered a narrow defeat, failing to score 17 runs in the Super Over, which ultimately cost them the match against Sri Lanka A.
