Actress Momina Iqbal Responds Strongly to Remarks by Religious Scholar Nasir Madani

Islamabad: Pakistani actress Momina Iqbal has issued a strong response to comments allegedly made about her by religious scholar Nasir Madani, accusing him of amplifying unverified allegations against her from the pulpit.

Taking to her Instagram Story, the actress expressed her disappointment over the remarks and said that the scholar had given further attention to accusations made against her.

“Mr. Nasir Madani, by speaking from the pulpit, you have fueled the allegations leveled against me,” she wrote.

Momina Iqbal stated that while she believes she would ultimately be vindicated in both worldly and divine courts, those who make false accusations would be answerable before God.

“I will win this case in the courts of this world and the Hereafter, but you will lose it in the court of Allah, because only I and my Lord know the truth behind these allegations,” she wrote.

The actress further declared that she would not forgive the scholar for his remarks.

She emphasized that making accusations without evidence and damaging a person’s honor and reputation is considered a grave sin in Islam. Referring to the teachings of Islam, she urged caution in spreading unverified claims about others.

In her statement, Momina Iqbal also cited a verse from Surah An-Nur, stressing that every word and action will ultimately be accounted for before Allah and that justice will prevail.

The exchange has attracted attention on social media, where users continue to debate the issue and discuss the importance of responsible public discourse and the consequences of making allegations without proof.
