Ishaq Dar Says Pakistan Awaits Signing Ceremony of Iran–US Agreement in Geneva

Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has said that Pakistan is awaiting the expected signing ceremony of the Iran–US agreement in Geneva.

In a statement shared on social media platform X regarding the Iran–US understanding, Ishaq Dar welcomed the reported agreement between the United States and Iran. He termed the development a success of diplomacy and said Pakistan had consistently supported restraint and constructive engagement throughout the process.

He expressed gratitude toward the leadership of both countries for their trust and stated that Pakistan looks forward to the signing ceremony expected on June 19 in Geneva. He reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to promoting peace, stability, and cooperation in the region and affirmed continued support for the negotiation process.

The deputy prime minister also appreciated the peaceful and diplomatic approach adopted by both the US and Iran, as well as the role of the United Nations and international partners. He particularly praised the diplomatic efforts of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Türkiye, and Egypt.

Ishaq Dar further said that a peace agreement would be a positive and encouraging development for developing countries, creating hope for regional and global economic stability and paving the way for lasting peace and prosperity.
