UK-Supported Climate Finance Accelerator Selects 11 Business Projects in Pakistan
Key entities involved include the British High Commission and UK’s Climate Finance Accelerator initiative, with remarks from Jane Marriott.

ISLAMABAD: Eleven business projects have been selected under the UK-supported Climate Finance Accelerator programme in Pakistan, aimed at promoting investment in climate-focused solutions across key economic sectors.
According to a statement issued by the British High Commission, the selected projects are related to energy, transport, waste management, agriculture, and green financing.
British High Commissioner Jane Marriott said that Pakistan is highly vulnerable to climate change but is also rich in innovation and talent capable of driving sustainable solutions.
The statement added that the Climate Finance Accelerator programme will help mobilise investment opportunities in Pakistan’s green economy. So far, around $40 million in investment has been facilitated through the initiative.
Selected companies will receive financial and technical support over a period of five months to strengthen their proposals and prepare them for international investors.
The projects will be presented to global investors in October 2026, providing a platform to attract funding for climate-resilient and sustainable development initiatives in Pakistan.
