Singer Falak Shabir Urges Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz to Consider Public Dress Code Regulations
Pakistani singer Falak Shabir has appealed to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz to consider introducing regulations regarding dress codes in public places.
In a post shared on his social media account, Falak Shabir praised the Punjab government’s decision to ban vaping in the province, calling it a positive step.
However, he also expressed concern about cultural values and wrote that, as the father of two daughters, he would like to make a humble request to Maryam Nawaz to consider legislation regarding revealing clothing in public places, markets, and on roads.
The singer stated that without such measures, society could face cultural decline. His comments have sparked discussion on social media, where users have expressed differing views on personal freedoms, cultural norms, and the role of government in regulating public behavior.
