LPG Price Hike in Pakistan, Domestic Cylinder Becomes Costlier

Islamabad (Khabar Desk) — Consumers have been hit with another increase in liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) prices as the cost of domestic gas cylinders has gone up at the start of June 2026.

According to a notification issued by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), LPG prices have been increased by Rs 4.96 per kilogram, effective from June 1.

After the revision, the new LPG price has been set at Rs 308.76 per kilogram. Following the increase, the price of an 11.8 kg domestic LPG cylinder has gone up by Rs 58.51, bringing the new price to Rs 3,643.41, compared to last month’s rate of Rs 3,584.90.

OGRA stated that LPG prices are reviewed on a monthly basis and are adjusted according to international market trends and the pricing formula for petroleum products.

Energy experts say the latest increase comes at a time when inflation is already putting pressure on household budgets, especially for families relying on LPG for cooking and daily use.

They added that fluctuations in global energy markets may lead to further price changes in the coming months, keeping uncertainty high for consumers.
