Babar Azam Likely to Return for Australia ODI Series

LAHORE: Final consultations have reportedly been completed regarding the selection of پاکستان’s squad for the upcoming One-Day International series against Australia national cricket team.
According to sources, several changes are expected in the ODI squad that recently featured against Bangladesh. Former captain Babar Azam is likely to make a return to the squad for the Australia series.
Sources also suggest that Fakhar Zaman, Sufiyan Muqeem, and Hunain Shah are expected to be included in the team.
Meanwhile, the chances of Faheem Ashraf and Hussain Talat retaining their places in the national side appear slim. Discussions are still ongoing regarding the inclusion of captain Mohammad Rizwan.
The Australian team is scheduled to arrive in Islamabad on May 23, while Pakistan’s squad will begin training in Rawalpindi from May 22 and is also expected to play a practice match ahead of the series.
The ODI matches between Pakistan and Australia are scheduled to be played on May 30, June 2, and June 4.
