Petition Filed in Supreme Court Seeking Imran Khan’s Transfer to Hospital

Islamabad: A petition has been filed in the Supreme Court of Pakistan seeking the transfer of former Prime Minister and PTI founder Imran Khan to a hospital for medical treatment.
The petition, submitted through Advocate Uzair Bhandari, requests the court to set aside the Islamabad High Court’s decision dated March 12, 2026.
The petitioner argued that Imran Khan requires an immediate medical examination and urged the court to order a comprehensive health check-up. The plea specifically requested that the examination be conducted by Dr. Khurram Mirza, Dr. Asim Yusuf, Dr. Faisal Sultan, and Dr. Samina Niazi.
The petition further sought the immediate transfer of Imran Khan to Shifa International Hospital for treatment. It also requested permission for his family members, lawyers, and personal physicians to meet him during the course of his treatment.
According to the application, authorities should provide timely information regarding Imran Khan’s health condition and treatment, along with complete medical records, including eye examination reports and blood test results.
The petition additionally requested that family members and legal representatives be kept informed throughout the treatment process and that all diagnostic reports from the past four months be made available.
