Deadly Explosion in Lakki Marwat Market Leaves 7 Dead, Over 18 Injured

LAKKI MARWAT: At least seven people were killed and more than 18 others injured in a powerful explosion in the Sarai Naurang Bazaar area, according to police and hospital officials.

Police said the blast occurred near Naurang Police Station when an explosive device reportedly detonated inside or near a rickshaw in the busy market area.

Officials confirmed that the bodies of the deceased were shifted to Naurang Hospital, where an emergency has been declared due to the influx of casualties.

Hospital administration stated that among the deceased were two traffic police personnel, while the injured include women and children. Several of the wounded are reported to be in critical condition.

Security forces have cordoned off the area and launched an investigation to determine the nature and motive of the blast. Further details are expected as authorities continue rescue and clearance operations.
