Shahid Afridi Says “Bunyan-un-Marsoos Was a Symbol of National Pride and Divine Support”

Islamabad: Former Pakistan cricket captain Shahid Afridi has marked the completion of one year of the military operation “Bunyan-un-Marsoos” with a message on social media platform X, praising it as a symbol of national unity and strength.
In his post, Afridi said that a nation whose hearts, steps, and intentions are united earns the pleasure of Allah, adding that the memory of the operation remains alive in the hearts of the people even after a year.
He stated that “Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos” was not just a military action but a reflection of Pakistan’s national honor, the bravery of its armed forces, and divine support.
Afridi emphasized that the world today needs peace, tolerance, and humanity rather than hatred. He said Pakistan has always advocated peace, but when the dignity of the homeland is challenged, the entire nation stands united like a wall.
The former captain further remarked that the operation sent a message to the world that true strength does not lie only in weapons but in unity, faith, and truth.
His statement comes as Pakistan marks the anniversary of the military operation amid renewed public and political discussions surrounding national security and past conflicts.
