Governor Kundi Pushes for Coalition Government in KP, Criticizes PTI Leadership

Dera Ismail Khan:** Faisal Karim Kundi has said efforts are underway to form a coalition government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Speaking to the media in Dera Ismail Khan, Kundi claimed that some members within Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) are seeking a change in the chief minister. He added that when the party identified its “internal dissenters,” the chief minister was replaced.

The governor stated that Dera Ismail Khan has become a stronghold of the Pakistan Peoples Party, with the highest number of elected representatives from the party belonging to the area.

Kundi reiterated that forming a coalition setup in the province remains a priority, adding that political meetings are a normal part of the process and that contacts with Maulana Fazlur Rehman are ongoing. He also alleged that certain elements are attempting to obstruct the Dera Ismail Khan airport project.

Responding to a question, he dismissed rumors regarding the return of former KP chief minister Ali Amin Gandapur, calling such claims baseless and suggesting that those who part ways with PTI rarely return.
