Digital Creator Sahar Hayat Breaks Silence, Confirms Divorce from Sami Rashid

Lahore: Popular Pakistani digital creator Sahar Hayat has publicly addressed her separation from Sami Rashid, releasing a detailed video statement in which she confirmed that she has obtained a khula from him.

In the video, Sahar accused Sami Rashid of abusive and humiliating behavior, saying he repeatedly harassed her, verbally insulted her in front of family, and threatened divorce on a daily basis. She revealed that the conflict began after the death of a friend’s mother, not over trivial matters like a child’s birthday, and that he had repeatedly made degrading comments about her marriage prospects.

Sahar also alleged that Sami neglected his responsibilities toward their daughter, failed to provide financially, and attempted to publicly defame her by bringing up her past. She claimed he has not returned her car and prioritized material assets over their child’s well-being.

Addressing earlier claims made by Sami on social media that she had forced the divorce, Sahar stated that she was left with no option but to seek khula due to the sustained harassment and disrespect she endured. She emphasized that the separation was necessary to protect her dignity and the welfare of her child.
