Woman Dies Allegedly Due to In-Laws’ Torture in Lahore, Death Declared as Heart Attack

Lahore: A woman has allegedly died as a result of torture by her in-laws in the Green Town area of Lahore, with her death reportedly declared a heart attack before burial.

According to police, the in-laws claimed the woman died of a heart attack and proceeded with her burial. However, the victim’s brother has submitted an application seeking registration of a case.

In his statement to police, he said there were visible marks of torture on his sister’s face and body, raising strong suspicions that she was murdered and the matter was concealed. He further stated that the family was informed about her death only after the burial had taken place.

Police officials say investigations are underway from multiple angles, including the possibility of murder.
