T20 World Cup 2026: Airfares and Hotel Rates Soar Ahead of Pakistan-India Clash in Colombo

Colombo: Airfares and hotel rates have surged sharply ahead of the highly anticipated Pakistan-India match scheduled in Colombo during the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026.

According to travel platforms, flight bookings have increased by nearly 65 percent, while hotel reservations have risen by up to 50 percent as fans rush to secure arrangements for the marquee clash.

Reports indicate that return tickets from Mumbai to Colombo have climbed dramatically, with prices ranging from approximately INR 60,000 to as high as INR 100,000.

The hotel industry is also witnessing unprecedented demand. Several hotels in the city are nearing full occupancy, particularly between February 13 and 16. During these peak dates, the cost of a single night’s stay has reportedly exceeded INR 100,000 at some properties.

Meanwhile, Sri Lanka’s Department of Meteorology has forecast rain in Colombo on February 15, the day the Pakistan-India match is scheduled, raising concerns among fans about possible weather disruptions.

The Pakistan-India encounter remains one of the most awaited fixtures of the tournament, drawing massive interest from cricket fans across the region and beyond.
