PTI Expulsion Controversy: Sher Afzal Marwat Denies Party Membership Cancellation

Islamabad:The controversy surrounding Sher Afzal Marwat’s expulsion from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has deepened as he vehemently rejects the cancellation of his party membership. Marwat, a former senior vice president of PTI, has dismissed the notification of his expulsion as fraudulent and has announced his intention to meet with PTI founder Imran Khan soon.
Marwat has criticized the hastiness of the expulsion order, claiming it was issued without proper discussion or approval from the party’s core committee. He argues that the notification was falsely presented as part of the core committee’s proceedings, and that the matter was not brought to the attention of PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar.
In a recent statement, Marwat also accused PTI leader Firdous Shamim Naqvi of using sarcastic language against him and suggested that the notification is reminiscent of previous instances of dubious documents issued by the party. Marwat plans to convene a grand jirga with his constituency to address the issue and has given Barrister Gohar the authority to make a decision regarding his case.
Marwat has further asserted that any derogatory campaigns against him should be halted before they escalate, warning of the potential for further complications if such issues are not addressed promptly.
