Imran Khan’s Right Eye Affected, Latest PIMS Medical Report Shared with Family

**Islamabad:** Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Islamabad has issued the latest medical report regarding Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and former Prime Minister Imran Khan, confirming that his **right eye vision has been affected**, with the report shared with his family, sources said.

According to the medical report issued by the Executive Director of PIMS, the 74-year-old former premier complained of reduced vision in his right eye. A senior and qualified ophthalmologist from PIMS conducted a comprehensive eye examination at **Adiala Jail**.

The report stated that the examination included slit-lamp assessment, fundoscopic examination, intraocular pressure measurement, necessary laboratory tests, and **optical coherence tomography (OCT) of the retina**. Based on the initial findings, Imran Khan was diagnosed with **central retinal vein occlusion (CRVO)** in his right eye, and follow-up treatment at the hospital was recommended.

As per the report, Imran Khan was shifted to PIMS between Saturday and Sunday night for the recommended procedure. Hospital authorities fully briefed him about the medication and injection process prior to treatment.

The Executive Director of PIMS confirmed that consent was obtained before the procedure and that the medical treatment of Imran Khan’s right eye was carried out successfully.

PIMS administration stated that on the Prime Minister’s directive, the detailed medical report was forwarded to the Adiala Jail authorities. While Imran Khan’s overall health has been described as satisfactory, specialists at PIMS confirmed that the vision in his right eye has been affected and will require continued medical follow-up.
