Security Sources Deny Major Operation in Tirah, Call Reports ‘False and Baseless Propaganda

**Karachi:** Security officials have dismissed claims of a major military operation in Tirah, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, calling them “false and baseless propaganda,” and clarified that only intelligence-based operations (IBOs) are ongoing in the area.
During a briefing with media representatives in Karachi, security sources stated that no large-scale military deployment has taken place in Tirah, nor have any additional checkpoints been set up on internal or external routes. They emphasized that the ongoing operations are based on intelligence and are the most effective method against terrorism.
“For the past three years, only IBOs targeting extremist groups like Fitna al-Khawarij and Fitna al-Hindustan have been conducted,” the officials said. “Operations against terrorists are being carried out using precise intelligence, and they will continue until the last terrorist is neutralized.”
The sources highlighted that the current weather conditions are not suitable for a large-scale military operation and that rumors of increased troop presence are unfounded. They also stressed that the relationship between the military and local communities remains strong and intact.
“All decisions are made in consultation with tribal elders and respected community members, keeping local traditions and conditions in mind,” the officials said.
Regarding threats in Balochistan, security sources noted that extremist groups like Fitna al-Hindustan oppose public development and exploit feelings of deprivation. “The people of Balochistan are aware of those using such slogans to spread terrorism,” they added.
