Motorcycle-Riding Robbers Steal Rs 3.3 Million from Karachi Petrol Pump Cashier

Karachi: Three armed robbers on motorcycles snatched Rs 3.3 million from a petrol pump cashier near Singer Chowrangi, Korangi Industrial Area, Karachi, the police reported. The Awami Colony Police have registered a case and launched an investigation.
According to the police, the incident took place near the PSO petrol pump in Sector 27, Korangi Industrial Area. Three suspects, riding two motorcycles, stopped the cashier and forcibly took the cash before fleeing the scene. The police were notified via the Madadgar 15 helpline and quickly dispatched a forensic team to collect evidence from the location.
The victim, Mohammad Arif, told the police that he works as an accountant at the PSO petrol pump in Landhi. On January 27, 2026, around 11:05 am, he was transporting the cash along with Imam Bakhsh to deposit it when the three armed men confronted him. The robbers, reportedly young and non-local, threatened him with weapons and seized the cash stored in a plastic bag before escaping.
Mohammad Arif added that he could identify the suspects if seen again. Acting on his statement and at the request of the petrol pump owners, Awami Colony Police filed FIR No. 54/26 under Sections 397/34 of the Pakistan Penal Code on January 27 at 1:15 pm. The case has been handed over to the CIC Korangi Division, Karachi for investigation.
The police have appealed to the public to provide any information that could lead to the arrest of the suspects.
