Fire Erupts at Private Plaza on Prince Road in Quetta, Dozens of Shops Gutted

Quetta: A fire broke out at a private plaza on Prince Road, Quetta, resulting in severe damage to dozens of shops. Rescue officials confirmed that the blaze has been brought under control, while cooling operations are currently underway.

According to rescue authorities, six fire tenders from the Fire Brigade and four vehicles from the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) took part in the firefighting operation. Fire balls were also used to help contain the flames.

Rescue officials said the plaza housed various types of shops, including computer, mobile phone, and garment outlets, most of which were affected by the fire.

Chief Fire Officer stated that the fire was caused by a short circuit. He added that the flames also engulfed a nearby electricity transformer and power lines, creating additional difficulties for firefighters in controlling the blaze.

No casualties were reported, while authorities are assessing the extent of the financial losses caused by the incident.
