Neglect in Gwalamandi Zone of SAFA Project Sparks Health Concerns; Faizabad Street Remains Unclean for Four Months

Quetta: Residents of the Gwalamandi Zone under the SAFA Project are facing a severe sanitation crisis as irregularities and mismanagement have brought cleaning operations to a halt. Half of Faizabad Street has remained unclean for the past four months, with clogged drains causing a stench that has made life unbearable for locals.

Residents report that despite repeatedly alerting the concerned supervisor about the worsening conditions, no action has been taken. While the supervisor has given assurances on multiple occasions, the sanitation staff continues to avoid duty, leaving garbage and stagnant water accumulating in the area.

The unhygienic conditions have raised fears of disease outbreaks, and the local population has expressed growing frustration and concern over the public health risks posed by the ongoing neglect.
