Fees of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Atif Aslam for Wedding Performances Revealed

Karachi:Renowned Pakistani singers Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Atif Aslam are considered among the biggest music stars in the country, enjoying global fame for their powerful live performances at concerts and private events.

Both singers have lent their voices to several Bollywood films, delivering multiple super-hit songs that significantly boosted their popularity across borders. They have also performed at high-profile weddings in Pakistan and India, including events hosted by prominent figures such as Malik Riaz in Pakistan and Mukesh Ambani in India, with their performance fees often making headlines.

Recently, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Atif Aslam performed at the wedding ceremony of Ayesha Talpur, daughter of Faryal Talpur—sister of President Asif Ali Zardari and President of the Pakistan Peoples Party Women’s Wing.

In a recent private television program, a journalist disclosed the approximate fees charged by these singers for performances at events in Pakistan. According to the journalist, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan charges more than Rs 10 million for performing at a wedding ceremony. The fee increases if the performance is in another city, while overseas performances reportedly double the amount.

The journalist further revealed that Atif Aslam previously did not perform at wedding ceremonies, but has now started charging over Rs 20 million for such events.

He also mentioned that legendary singer Abida Parveen usually refrains from live performances due to health issues. However, if she does perform, her fee is reportedly quite high, ranging between $60,000 and $70,000.

The revelations have sparked discussion on social media, highlighting the immense demand and stature of Pakistan’s top music artists in elite private events.
