Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Sahir Shamshad Mirza Pays Farewell Visit to GHQ, Meets Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir
RAWALPINDI: Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Sahir Shamshad Mirza conducted a farewell visit to the General Headquarters (GHQ) and held a farewell meeting with Army Chief Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.
Upon arrival at GHQ, General Sahir Shamshad Mirza laid a floral wreath at the Martyrs’ Memorial. The Pakistan Army’s disciplined contingents presented him with a Guard of Honor.
According to ISPR, Field Marshal Asim Munir praised General Sahir Shamshad Mirza for his exemplary leadership, strategic vision, and outstanding services to the Pakistan Army.
The Army Chief highlighted that the CJCSC played a vital role in promoting coordination among the three armed forces and strengthening their joint operational readiness. He further acknowledged General Mirza’s contributions to achieving national security strategic objectives.
Field Marshal Asim Munir also commended General Sahir Shamshad Mirza for his efforts in enhancing Pakistan’s defense cooperation with friendly countries and promoting regional stability and military diplomacy.
ISPR stated that during the farewell, General Sahir Shamshad Mirza expressed gratitude to the Army Chief and the armed forces for their support throughout his career.
