Repatriation of Afghan Refugees Accelerates in Balochistan — Over 35,000 Return Home from Quetta

*Quetta (Qudrat Daily)* — The process of **repatriating Afghan refugees from Balochistan** has gained momentum, with more than **35,000 Afghan nationals** having returned to their homeland from **Quetta district** alone under the ongoing third phase of the operation.

According to **Deputy Commissioner Quetta, Mehrullah Badini**, the repatriation drive is being conducted in a **systematic and phased manner** under the **instructions of the Government of Pakistan**. He stated that the process is guided by **humanitarian considerations, legal protocols, and government policy** to ensure a smooth and organized return.

The Deputy Commissioner added that the **repatriation efforts will further accelerate** in the coming days, with **all district-level departments fully mobilized**. Additionally, **facilitation centers have been established at border crossings** to assist returning families.

Officials confirmed that **dozens of illegal camps have already been vacated**, while many Afghan families are **selling their homes and businesses** before leaving Pakistan. Public representatives and local communities have described the initiative as a **positive step toward upholding the rule of law and safeguarding national interests**.
