Indian Singer Zubeen Garg’s Death Takes Shocking Turn — Bandmate Alleges Poisoning Plot by Manager and Organizer

Mumbai: The mysterious death of Indian singer **Zubeen Garg** has taken a dramatic twist after his **bandmate Shekhar Jyoti Goswami** accused **Zubeen’s manager, Siddharth Sharma**, and **festival organizer, Shyamakano Mahanta**, of **poisoning and murdering** the late musician.

According to Indian media reports, Goswami claimed that the two men tried to portray Zubeen’s death as an accident and deliberately chose a **foreign location** to conceal their crime.

He further alleged that Sharma’s **behavior was suspicious** before the incident and that he **forcibly took control of the yacht** from the crew. When Zubeen began to **struggle for breath in the water**, Sharma allegedly **prevented others from helping**. Goswami maintained that since Zubeen was an **experienced swimmer**, his death could not have occurred by drowning alone.

Zubeen’s wife, **Garima Saikia Garg**, also expressed doubts, stating that she **suspected foul play**, as her husband had **no heart condition** and had been **advised to stay away from water**.

Meanwhile, both **Siddharth Sharma and Shyamakano Mahanta** have **denied the allegations**. Police have deemed the **initial evidence credible**, and **Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma** has announced the formation of a **judicial commission** to conduct a **thorough investigation** into the case.

It may be recalled that **Zubeen Garg drowned during a yacht outing in Singapore on September 19**, under circumstances that remain under scrutiny.
