Saima Qureshi Stands by Her Statement: “There Is No Blessing in a Woman’s Income”

Karachi: Pakistani actress **Saima Qureshi** has once again reiterated her belief that “a woman’s income does not bring blessings,” though she clarified that she does not discourage women from working or running businesses.
Speaking on **FHM Podcast**, Qureshi said it was her **personal opinion** and she still firmly stands by it.
“I’m not saying women shouldn’t work. I work myself and even run a business. But I believe there is no blessing in a woman’s earnings,” she said.
Explaining her reasoning, Qureshi noted that women often face **multiple responsibilities and expenses**, making it harder for them to save. “I have been working hard for years, yet I still live in a rented house. If a man had worked this hard, he would probably have owned a home by now,” she added.
The actress, who is a **single mother**, stressed that working is her necessity but argued that **earning is not inherently a woman’s responsibility**.
When asked about successful women like **Mahira Khan**, who have built strong careers, Qureshi responded: “Such women have family support. Even Mahira Khan eventually got married.”
She further said that comparing working women to **Hazrat Khadija (RA)** is not appropriate because she was a **unique personality** who also later married.
Would you like me to also prepare a **public reaction roundup** (mixed views from supporters and critics) to this statement for a complete news package?
