Asia Cup: Pakistan Beat UAE to Enter Super Four, Captain Salman Ali Agha Stresses Middle-Order Improvement

Dubai – Pakistan advanced to the Super Four stage of the Asia Cup T20 after defeating the UAE by 41 runs. Chasing Pakistan’s target of 147, the UAE side was bowled out for 105.

Speaking after the match, Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha said the team is ready for the challenge against India in the Super Four but admitted they have “not yet given their best.” He emphasized the need to strengthen middle-order batting, noting that solid batting in the middle overs could help the side post totals of 170 against any opposition.

Salman praised Shaheen Afridi as a “match-winner” and highlighted Abrar Ahmed’s consistent bowling performances.

Meanwhile, UAE skipper Muhammad Waseem credited his bowlers for restricting Pakistan to a modest total, adding that although the team exited the tournament, the players gained valuable experience.

In the next Asia Cup fixture, Afghanistan will take on Sri Lanka.
