Quetta:The Joint Action Committee comprising Prof. Dr. Kaleemullah Badeech, Shah Ali Bugti, and Nazir Ahmed Lehri from the University of Balochistan issued a collective statement condemning the directors of all three research centers for withholding approved allowances from faculty, officers, and employees for the past four years, despite increased government allocations.
The committee highlighted that while the directors of these research centers benefit from numerous perks, including nepotism and contractual arrangements favoring their close relatives and acquaintances, the dedicated faculty and staff, who ensure continuous service delivery at these centers, have been unjustly deprived of their rightful entitlements and subjected to highly inappropriate behavior.
The statement further disclosed that the director of Pakistan Study Centre has improperly assigned luxury vehicles and engaged in other unlawful activities, costing up to one million rupees monthly, despite claims of insufficient funds. The committee called upon the Governor, Chief Minister of Balochistan, Chairman HEC, and Vice Chancellor to initiate an inquiry into these unlawful appointments and illegal actions by Pakistan Study Centre’s director, terminate all unlawfully appointed teachers, officers, and employees, and ensure that the faculty and staff receive their full salaries and approved allowances permanently, taking into account their social needs.
