Provincial Advisor Dr. Rababa Khan Bledi Emphasizes Role of Women Crisis Centers in Empowering Women

Quetta:Provincial Advisor for Women Development, Dr. Rababa Khan Bledi, stated that institutions like the Women Crisis Center play a crucial role in providing protection, rehabilitation, and empowerment to women who have faced gender-based violence. She expressed these views during her visit to the Women Crisis Center in Quetta, where she was given a detailed briefing on the facilities available and ongoing projects at the center.

Dr. Bledi emphasized that the Balochistan government is committed to addressing the long-term solutions to the challenges faced by women and ensuring the protection of their fundamental human rights. The Women Development Department is actively working on practical projects to address these concerns.

On the occasion, Secretary of the Women Development Department, Syra Ata, provided a detailed overview of the center’s performance, current activities, and future plans. She highlighted that the Crisis Center offers shelter, legal assistance, psychological counseling, medical services, and vocational training to the affected women, helping them reintegrate into society and live a dignified life.

Dr. Bledi praised the center’s efforts and instructed that every possible facility should be provided to the women residing there. She stressed the importance of comprehensive measures for their mental, physical, and social rehabilitation. Furthermore, Dr. Bledi called for collaboration between government institutions, civil society, and all segments of society to eradicate violence against women, aiming for a safe, dignified, and equitable society.

This initiative demonstrates the provincial government’s determination to protect women’s rights and ensure their well-being.
