Committee Formed to Assess Private Security Companies in Balochistan

Quetta:In Balochistan, a committee has been established to scrutinize the operations, modern weaponry, and training of 138 private security companies, according to sources from the Balochistan Home Department. The committee will compile a report based on annual evaluations of these companies.

It has been reported that many private security personnel lack proper training and access to modern weaponry, while complaints from these companies allege that the government-set minimum wage is not adhered to by the companies themselves. The Balochistan Home Department officials stated that although 138 private security companies are registered, some have only a few guards, with some having as few as ten guards, despite having the capacity to house hundreds.

The committee, formed by the Home Department, aims to annually review these security companies to assess their training programs, weaponry, and other facilities.
