PM Shehbaz Sharif Demands Iran to Arrest and Punish Killers of Pakistani Citizens

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has strongly condemned the brutal killing of eight Pakistani nationals in Iran’s Sistan province, specifically in the Mehrestan area, and has demanded that the Iranian authorities immediately arrest the perpetrators and ensure they are brought to justice.
In a statement expressing deep sorrow and grief, the Prime Minister urged the Iranian government to publicly disclose the reasons behind this heinous act. He emphasized that terrorism is a common threat to the entire region and called for a collective and coordinated strategy among regional countries to combat it effectively.
Prime Minister Shehbaz has also directed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to contact the families of the victims and to ensure the safe repatriation of the deceased through the Pakistani Embassy in Iran.
Meanwhile, the Foreign Office spokesperson stated that Pakistan is aware of the unfortunate incident on Iranian soil and remains in continuous contact with Iranian authorities. The spokesperson added that the Pakistani Embassy in Tehran and the Consulate in Zahedan are actively engaged with relevant Iranian officials. A formal statement will be made once all facts are verified and confirmed.
