Pakistani Actress Bushra Ansari Criticizes YouTubers, Calls Them a “Different Species

Pakistani actress Bushra Ansari has taken a swipe at YouTubers, expressing her surprise and disbelief over their success. Speaking on a recent Ramadan transmission on a private TV channel, she referred to YouTubers as a “different species” due to the huge amounts of money they are reportedly earning.

Bushra Ansari said, “I don’t know who these people are, but they are making millions and billions. We are from a completely different world.” She mentioned that she had tried to find a couple of YouTubers but struggled to figure out where to watch their content, as she found their material hard to understand and even more perplexing were the viewers who followed them.

Her comments echo earlier criticism from actor and producer Fahad Mustafa, who also raised concerns about the content shared by YouTubers. Fahad stated that many of them have no substantial content and are simply exploiting their families on YouTube. He even pointed out how some YouTubers go as far as visiting cemeteries to seek prayers, questioning their content’s integrity.

In response to Fahad Mustafa’s remarks, YouTuber Rajab Butt fiercely defended his platform, saying, “Seniors like Fahad Mustafa need to respect themselves. I’m earning honestly and have never asked for a role in a drama.” He also criticized Fahad for making inappropriate comments in shows, pointing out that YouTubers work from home, away from such controversies.

The ongoing debate highlights the growing divide between traditional media figures and the new wave of digital influencers, with both sides expressing differing views on content creation and monetization.
