Shah Rukh Khan’s Mumbai Bungalow ‘Mannat’ Becomes Tourist Attraction Ahead of Renovation

Shah Rukh Khan’s iconic Mumbai bungalow, *Mannat*, has become a major tourist attraction. Located in the famous Bandra Bandstand area, hundreds of fans visit daily to take selfies in front of the historic mansion, where Shah Rukh Khan and his family have lived for over 25 years.
However, in the coming months, Shah Rukh Khan will temporarily move out of *Mannat* due to extensive renovations planned for the bungalow. The renovation work is set to begin in May and will include expansion, but Shah Rukh Khan had to obtain permission from the court for any structural changes. *Mannat* is a Grade III heritage building, meaning that any modifications can only be made with official approval.
As the renovation work will take a few months, Shah Rukh Khan, along with his wife Gauri and children Aryan, Suhana, and AbRam, will temporarily move to a luxury apartment building in the nearby Pali Hill area of Bandra. According to an HT report, Shah Rukh has leased four floors of the building from film producer Vashu Bhagnani.
The four floors will not only accommodate Shah Rukh and his family but also his security and staff, with some space allocated for office use. While not as vast as *Mannat*, the new space will provide ample room for the family and their team. The monthly rent for these floors is reportedly 2.4 million rupees.
Shah Rukh Khan and his team are working to ensure the appropriate safety and privacy for the family in the new apartment complex. As per a Business Standard report, the actor has leased the first, second, seventh, and eighth floors of the building for a period of three years.
While it is unclear whether Shah Rukh and his family will remain in the building long-term, it is expected that the renovation of *Mannat* will take at least two years.
