Pakistan Railways Continues Success and Improvement Journey: CEO Aamir Ali Baloch
Karachi: Chief Executive Officer of Pakistan Railways, Aamir Ali Baloch, has stated that the continuous journey of success and improvement for Pakistan Railways is ongoing. Due to better train operations and effective measures, Pakistan Railways has achieved significant accomplishments over the past two years. The railway’s revenue and the number of trains have increased, while operational costs have notably decreased.
In the first five months of the fiscal year 2024-25, Pakistan Railways earned a record revenue of 37.5 billion rupees, which is 15% higher compared to the 32.9 billion rupees earned in the same period of the previous year.
CEO Aamir Ali Baloch further mentioned that Pakistan Railways had set a revenue record last fiscal year, and ‘Inshallah’ it will improve further this year. Additionally, despite an increase in the number of trains during the first five months of the 2024-25 fiscal year, fuel expenses have been reduced by 13.57%, which is a significant achievement.
The CEO reaffirmed the commitment to meet the government target of 109 billion rupees.
