**Understanding Internet Speed vs. Download Speed:**
The report also clarifies the difference between “internet speed” and “download speed.” Internet speed refers to the maximum amount of data that can be transferred over a connection, which includes both upload and download speeds, and is measured in Kbps, Mbps, or Gbps. In contrast, download speed refers specifically to the speed at which data is transferred from the internet to a device, measured in MBps or GBps.
As global internet speed rankings highlight the pace of technological advancements, Pakistan’s relatively low rankings in both mobile and broadband speeds underscore the need for further improvements in its internet infrastructure to boost connectivity and support the growing digital economy.
