Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi Criticizes PTI Leadership, Comments on Bushra Bibi’s Statement
Islamabad:Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi** has expressed regret after hearing the distressing statement of **Bushra Bibi**, wife of PTI Chairman **Imran Khan**, who claimed she was left alone during the Islamabad sit-in. Kundi remarked that it was unfortunate to hear that Bushra Bibi was abandoned, saying, “She left the Pashtuns behind.”
Speaking about the situation, Faisal Karim Kundi criticized the **Khyber Pakhtunkhwa** provincial government for focusing on **Islamabad’s issues** instead of addressing the *raging fire* in their own province. He posed a critical question, asking, “Are the tax-payers’ money meant only for PTI workers? Will the families of those killed in the province also receive one crore rupees each?”
Kundi’s comments followed an event where **Bushra Bibi** visited the family of **Taj-ud-Din**, who was killed during the Islamabad sit-in, and presented a cheque of **one crore rupees** to the deceased’s family. During her visit, **Bushra Bibi** expressed her deep emotional pain over the deaths, stating that she was “hurt by the martyrdom” of those involved in the protests.
She also shared her personal experience from the **D-Chowk incident**, saying, “I was alone at **D-Chowk** at 12:30 AM in my car; no one knew which car I was in. They were forcefully evacuating the area, and I was left by myself.” Bushra Bibi emphasized that she never intended to leave anyone behind, and many people, including those who were clearing the roads, could attest to the fact that she was alone during the incident.
Her statement has sparked further debate on the PTI leadership’s stance, with Kundi pointing out the contradictions in the claims of the party and questioning the fairness in distribution of resources and compensation.
