Bollywood Actress Mamta Kulkarni Returns to India After 25 Years
ِMumbai:Bollywood’s former popular actress, Mamta Kulkarni, has returned to India after 25 years. The 52-year-old actress, who had been involved in a drug-related case, saw the charges against her dismissed by a Mumbai court due to insufficient evidence.
In her video message upon her arrival in India, Mamta Kulkarni expressed her emotions, stating, “I left the country in 2000, and I am very emotional right now. I don’t know how to express this feeling.” She added, “As my plane entered Indian airspace, I looked around, seeing my country after 24 years. My eyes welled up with tears.”
During her conversation with the media after reaching India, Mamta Kulkarni revealed that she had spent 25 years living abroad and was no longer interested in returning to the film industry. She shared, “I am happy with my life. When I left India, I was at the peak of my career. I had offers for 43 films, but I chose to leave it all behind. Now, I do not wish to return to films.”
Mamta Kulkarni, known for her roles in several Bollywood films in the 1990s, was involved in a high-profile drug case, which led to her being away from the country for many years. However, with the case now dismissed, she has returned to her homeland, but has firmly stated that she has no intention of returning to acting.
