Sohail Afridi Is the Chief Minister, There Is No Question of Anyone Else — Barrister Gohar

Islamabad — PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar has said that in Junaid Akbar’s absence, senior vice president Noor-ul-Haq Qadri will preside over provincial organization meetings in accordance with the party constitution, while Ali Asghar will oversee other affairs of the provincial organization.
In a statement outside Parliament regarding the party’s internal matters, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa MPAs, and the provincial organization, he said that caution should be exercised in giving immediate reactions to one’s own party’s affairs without verifying the facts. The news on which the secretary general’s tweet was based was not correct, and he had spoken to all relevant leaders and MPAs on the matter.
He said all KP MPAs are their pride and a valuable asset of the party. The steadfastness with which they supported Imran Khan over the past two years, the sacrifices they made, and the way they kept the party alive in the most difficult circumstances is before the whole world. In every rally, every procession, and every march, KP MPAs played a leadership role. All these members stand more firmly than before with Imran Khan, his ideology, and his struggle. They have Imran Khan’s complete trust, and no party MPA can even think of deviating from Khan Sahib’s instructions. “We are deeply grateful for their sacrifices and services. They have always stood with us, and in the future too, the KP leadership and MPAs will be taken into confidence in all important party decisions and consultations,” he said.
Barrister Gohar said that as far as the PTI KP presidency is concerned, Junaid Akbar Khan was appointed provincial president by Imran Khan himself, and he issued the notification of his appointment on Khan Sahib’s instructions. He will remain provincial president. In his absence, senior vice president Noor-ul-Haq Qadri will preside over provincial organization meetings in accordance with the party constitution, while Ali Asghar Khan will oversee other affairs of the provincial organization as secretary general of PTI Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He said he has spoken to the relevant officials in this regard, and the same desire emerged in the meeting of the KP provincial organization; God willing, a formal notification will be issued in this connection today or tomorrow. Until Junaid Akbar Khan’s return, no changes will be made in the provincial organization or the current cabinet.
He said their entire focus should remain on Imran Khan’s stance, his narrative, and his struggle, and that no internal debate or unnecessary rhetoric should divert attention from Imran Khan’s cause and struggle. “We are all united under Imran Khan’s leadership, and his decisions and instructions are final for us. I have said many times that Sohail is the Chief Minister — there is no question of anyone else. These are Khan Sahib’s decisions,” he said.
