Distribution of Solar Panels and Ration Provided by Bilawal Bhutto in Balochistan on Basis of Nepotism; Loyal Workers Being Ignored: PPP Leaders’ Press Conference

Sibi (Daily Qudrat Quetta): Leaders of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) have expressed strong reservations over alleged favoritism in the distribution of solar systems provided for the party and the ignoring of workers, and have demanded the immediate dismissal of the PPP Sibi district cabinet and the holding of new and fair party elections.
Addressing a crowded press conference at Sibi Press Club, PPP leaders Syed Sabir Shah Dopasi, Malik Raja Khan Marghzani, Haji Khan Raisani, Taj Muhammad Magsi, Majid Khan Gichki, Syed Chatal Shah, Khuda Bakhsh Chandio, Bashir Khan Marghzani, Muhammad Umar Khajjak, and others alleged that in the distribution of solar systems provided by party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari for workers, PPP Sibi District President Ghulam Rasool Selachi, Rehan Bugti, and other office-bearers allegedly did not observe transparency.
The leaders said that, according to them, solar panels were distributed in large numbers among the district president’s sons, brothers, nephews, and other relatives, as well as favored individuals, while party workers who stood by the party in difficult times were ignored. They also alleged that some individuals who had no significant connection with the PPP were also given solar panels.
The participants of the press conference further alleged that earlier, during Ramadan, in the distribution of ration provided by the Chief Minister of Balochistan, preference was allegedly given to the district president’s close associates instead of party workers.
PPP leaders demanded that Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the Chief Minister of Balochistan, Provincial President Haji Umar Gorgage, and the Provincial General Secretary take immediate notice of the matter, remove District President Ghulam Rasool Selachi from his post, and dismiss the entire district cabinet.
They said that due to the alleged policies of the current specific group, the PPP is being harmed in Sibi and severe disappointment prevails among long-standing workers. The leaders demanded that party district elections be held immediately so that leadership that is sincere, active, and takes workers along can emerge.
During the press conference, the leaders warned that if the provincial leadership does not address their reservations, they will meet party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari, and other central leadership to present their reservations regarding party affairs and alleged irregularities in Sibi.
They said that for the strength of the party, it is necessary that all workers be given equal opportunities and that transparency be ensured in the distribution of party resources.
