Virat Kohli Denies Claim of Receiving Rs500 Million to Visit Premanand Maharaj’s Ashram

MUMBAI: Indian cricketer Virat Kohli has denied allegations that he and his wife, actress Anushka Sharma, received Rs500 million to visit the Vrindavan ashram of Premanand Maharaj.
According to Virat Kohli’s spokesperson, the cricketer rejected the claim as baseless and contrary to facts.
The spokesperson said Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma visit the ashram out of religious devotion and have never received any payment for visiting the spiritual centre.
The allegation was reportedly made by Falhari Maharaj Dinesh Sharma, who claimed that Rs500 million had been paid to bring Virat Kohli to the ashram.
Indian media reports said no evidence has emerged to substantiate the claim made by Falhari Maharaj.
Kohli and Anushka have previously been seen visiting Premanand Maharaj’s ashram in Vrindavan, where they sought spiritual blessings.
