Janhvi Kapoor Trolled After Revealing Her Unusual ‘Hidden Talent’

MUMBAI: Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor has become the target of social media trolling after revealing an unusual ability involving her tongue.

The actress, daughter of late Bollywood star Sridevi and filmmaker-producer Boney Kapoor, recently revealed that she can bend her tongue almost 360 degrees.

During an interview with a media outlet, the 29-year-old actress was asked about one of her hidden talents. Janhvi responded that she could twist her tongue nearly 360 degrees, while describing the ability herself as a “very silly and useless” talent.

Explaining how she discovered the unusual party trick, Janhvi said her classmates at school used to try touching their noses with their tongues, but she was unable to do so. Wanting to impress the other children, she thought she might be able to do something else with her tongue and eventually learned the unusual trick.

Her revelation quickly attracted attention on social media, where some users mocked her for describing the ability as a talent.

One user commented that they could not believe she considered such an act a talent, while another compared it to a similar ability reportedly associated with actress Ananya Panday. Another social media user said they had expected Janhvi to mention a talent related to acting.

Janhvi Kapoor was also recently in the news over an AI-generated fake video involving her and actor Jr NTR’s song “Chuttamalle.” The song was featured in the 2024 film Devara: Part 1.

The AI-generated video depicted the actress in an objectionable manner, raising concerns over the misuse of artificial intelligence. Janhvi subsequently shared a detailed note on her Instagram Story, criticizing the misuse of technology to portray women in inappropriate ways. She said that spreading fabricated content involving someone without their consent was distressing and against the law.

On the professional front, Janhvi Kapoor will next be seen in director Raj Mehta’s Lag Ja Gale, alongside Tiger Shroff and Lakshya. The film is scheduled for release in 2027.
