Government and PPP Delegation to Meet PTI Leadership Tomorrow

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari met Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif at the President’s House, where they discussed the country’s overall political and security situation.
According to a statement from the President’s House, concern was expressed during the meeting over the security situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reviewed the country’s security situation and stressed further strengthening the national resolve against terrorism.
The meeting also emphasized the need for effective cooperation among all relevant institutions for peace and stability in the country.
According to the statement, it was decided in the meeting that a joint delegation of the federal government and the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) will meet the PTI leadership tomorrow to hold talks on the current political situation.
The government delegation will include Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Adviser to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah, and Aamir Maqam, while the PPP will be represented by Senator Sherry Rehman, Syed Naveed Qamar, and Ijaz Jakhrani.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Federal Minister for Law and Justice Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar, Attorney General Mansoor Usman Awan, Adviser to the Prime Minister Dr. Tauqeer Shah, Senator Saleem Mandviwala, Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, and Provincial Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah also attended the meeting.
