PTI Announces Long March From Lakki Marwat on October 4

ISLAMABAD: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Minister Shafi Jan has announced that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) long march scheduled for October 4 will begin from Gandi Chowk in Lakki Marwat.

In a post on X, Shafi Jan said the march would start from Gandi Chowk, Lakki Marwat, with its first stop in Karak. The second stop would be in Kohat on October 5, after which the procession would enter Peshawar district.

In another post, the provincial information minister said the enthusiastic reception given by the public to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi during the inauguration of the Hayatabad Underpass in Peshawar demonstrated, according to him, PTI’s support in the province.

He said Peshawar and the rest of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa remained strongholds of PTI, adding that the people of the province had given the party and Imran Khan a mandate for the third consecutive time.

Shafi Jan said protecting the rights and electoral mandate of the people and serving the province were the government’s priorities. He described PTI as a peaceful and democratic political party working for constitutional supremacy and the strengthening of democracy.

He also alleged that Imran Khan had been unjustly imprisoned and that political victimisation against him had crossed all limits.

Meanwhile, the federal government has decided to consider constitutional and legal options in response to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government’s position
