Qila Abdullah: Press Club Strongly Condemns Attack on Senior Journalist Nasir Ahmed, Demands Immediate Arrest of Accused

QILA ABDULLAH (Daily Qudrat) – Members of the Press Club Qila Abdullah have strongly condemned in the strongest terms the attack and violence against senior journalist Nasir Ahmed that took place yesterday. In their statement, the leaders said in unequivocal terms that adopting the path of violence instead of arguments and dialogue in any matter is tantamount to outright terrorism, and the Press Club strongly condemns this reprehensible act. The Press Club members reiterated their commitment that journalist Nasir Ahmed is not alone, but the entire journalist community of the province stands shoulder to shoulder with him. They have strongly demanded from the IG Police Balochistan, the Chief Minister of Balochistan, and other relevant senior officials that a transparent investigation into this incident be conducted immediately, and all the accused involved in this incident of violence against a journalist be arrested as soon as possible and given exemplary legal punishment.
