Security Forces Conduct Operations in Balochistan and Bannu, Killing 7 Militants and Injuring 2

Bannu/Awaran:In a series of successful intelligence-based operations across Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistani security forces have killed 7 militants and wounded 2 others. The operations were carried out on the morning of November 22, 2024, following actionable intelligence regarding the presence of militants in the regions of Bannu, Awaran, Dera Bugti, and Kech.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces launched a targeted operation in the Bannu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa based on reliable intelligence about the presence of militants in the area. During the operation, the militants’ hideout was effectively targeted, resulting in the death of 3 militants and the injury of 2 others. The forces also recovered weapons, ammunition, and explosives from the militants. The deceased terrorists were involved in several previous attacks on security forces and were responsible for the killing of innocent civilians.
ISPR further stated that a clearance operation is ongoing in the area to eliminate any remaining militants. Pakistan’s security forces remain determined to root out terrorism and maintain peace in the country.
Balochistan Operations:
In Balochistan, similar intelligence-based operations were conducted across multiple districts. In Awaran, a clash during an operation led to the killing of two high-value targets, identified as Niaz alias Ghaman and Zarif alias Shah Jahan. These individuals were involved in numerous terrorist activities and were on the most-wanted list of law enforcement agencies.
In Dera Bugti district, security forces killed one more terrorist during another operation, and in Kech, another militant was neutralized. The militants targeted in these operations were responsible for several attacks on security forces and the killing of civilians.
Security forces have reiterated their commitment to thwarting efforts aimed at destabilizing the peace, security, and development of Balochistan and the broader region.
