Journalist Claims Punjab CM’s First Official Bill for Private Plane Use Was Issued to Maryam Nawaz

LAHORE:Journalist and political analyst Syed Imran Shafqat has made claims regarding the alleged private use of a Punjab government aircraft by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, saying the first official bill for its use was issued in her name on September 14.

According to Shafqat, the initial bill amounted to **Rs293,659,976**. He claimed that the amount was revised twice on the same day after the issuance of the first bill, with amended letters subsequently sent to the Punjab chief minister.

He said the amount was reduced in the second bill to **Rs280,378,844**. A further revision then brought the stated cost of the government aircraft’s private use down to **Rs271,194,004**, according to the journalist.

Shafqat shared the claims in a post on social media platform X, where he also questioned the repeated changes in the amount.

He further claimed that, despite the successive revisions to the bill, there had so far been no confirmation or information indicating that the amount had been deposited into the government treasury.

The claims could not be independently verified from official records based on the information available in the report. No official response from the Punjab government or Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz was cited regarding the alleged bills or their payment status.
