PM’s fuel relief scheme expands nationwide from September 16

ISLAMABAD: The Prime Minister’s announced fuel relief scheme will launch nationwide on September 16, while it is already operational in Islamabad.

A meeting regarding the administrative affairs and implementation of the Prime Minister’s fuel relief scheme was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar.

The meeting was attended by the Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Minister for IT, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Minister of State for Finance, the Prime Minister’s Special Assistant, the IT Secretary, and Members of the National Assembly from Islamabad.

During the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister directed that the registration process for the scheme be kept simple and accessible to every citizen so that the maximum number of deserving individuals could benefit from the facility.

Ishaq Dar instructed the relevant authorities to ensure effective public awareness and the smooth, efficient implementation of the scheme at petrol pumps.

The Deputy Prime Minister urged elected representatives to disseminate information about the fuel relief scheme to the public and assist citizens with the registration process; he also directed that volunteers from the Prime Minister’s Youth Program be mobilized for public awareness and registration efforts.

The meeting was informed that the Prime Minister’s fuel relief scheme is currently operational in Islamabad, and its launch in other parts of the country is scheduled for September 16, 2026, at 11:59 PM.
