My Statement Regarding Uzma Bukhari Was Misinterpreted
Islamabad (Qudrat Daily) — Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Information Shafi Jan has said that his statement regarding Uzma Bukhari was misinterpreted. “Was an apology sought for calling Pashtuns wild? Speaking on Geo News’ program, he said that his statement regarding Uzma Bukhari was misinterpreted. “Has Uzma Bukhari apologized for calling Pashtuns wild? The kind of wild statements they are making, we also have people who can go there and make wild statements. If someone is drawing a wrong meaning from it, that is a question of their mentality. If Uzma Bukhari apologizes, then I will also not make the statement.”
He said, “The statement Maryam Nawaz gave — is that correct? It means she has given Modi a clean chit, while she is calling the provinces responsible. Maryam Nawaz’s statement regarding smaller provinces is equivalent to breaking the country. The country is in danger from this woman.”
On the other hand, former minister Fawad Chaudhry’s wife Hiba Fawad has said that the language Shafi Jan used today about Uzma Bukhari is extremely shameful.
In her tweet on X, she said that the language Shafi Jan used today about Uzma Bukhari is extremely condemnable and shameful. Political differences are one thing, but ridiculing a woman is unacceptable in any way. Just one question for Shafi Jan: Are the mother, sister, and daughter of your own home also addressed in the same language? Differ, criticize, but do not forget civility and limits.

He said that Maryam Nawaz, by declaring Modi innocent, has rubbed salt on the nation’s wounds. Saying that Punjab is threatened not by a neighboring country but by neighboring provinces is not only equivalent to giving a clean chit to the enemy India but is also an open negation of the Pakistan Army’s four-year stance and the national narrative against Indian aggression. If there is no threat from the enemy, then who is responsible for Modi’s aggression and conspiracies against Pakistan? Targeting one’s own provinces is the height of political bias.
