Three People, Including Customs Constable, Allegedly Abducted from Passenger Bus in Sherani
SHERANI: Three people, including a Customs constable, were allegedly abducted after armed men stopped a passenger bus on the D.I. Khan National Highway near Khawarina in Sherani, according to police sources.
The sources said the armed men stopped a bus traveling from Islamabad to Quetta and allegedly took away Customs Constable Saleem Durrani along with two other passengers. The identities of the other two individuals could not immediately be ascertained.
Repeated attempts were made to contact Sherani Deputy Commissioner Kaleemullah and the district police chief to confirm or deny the incident, but no response was received.
The district administration and police have so far refrained from providing information about the reported abduction. In the absence of an official confirmation or denial, the incident has caused concern and fear among residents in the area.
