US Technology Company Mobiz Establishes Regional Office in Pakistan
KARACHI: US-based technology company Mobiz has established its regional office in Pakistan, marking a significant development for the country’s growing information technology sector.
Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), Dr. Kabir Ahmed Sidhu, welcomed the establishment of the Mobiz office and said that Mobiz is a Pakistani-owned technology company based in Silicon Valley, the United States.
He said the company provides services in cloud computing, data, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity across various countries around the world.
Dr. Sidhu said Pakistan’s talented youth have the potential to play a prominent role in the global IT market. The expansion of international technology companies into Pakistan reflects growing confidence in the country’s IT talent, he added.
He noted that Pakistan has significant opportunities to emerge as a regional technology and global services hub. The SECP is working on transparency, digitalization and regulatory reforms to facilitate ease of doing business, he said.
According to Dr. Sidhu, the adoption of modern technology can reduce business costs and processing times while improving transparency and efficiency. Investment by global IT companies in Pakistan will also create employment opportunities for young people and open new avenues for them to work in international markets.
The SECP chairman congratulated Mobiz Global on the launch of its Karachi office and expressed hope that the company would develop plans for further expansion in Pakistan.
