Supreme Court Issues Written Order to Transfer Imran Khan to Shifa International Hospital Within Two Days
Islamabad: The Supreme Court has issued its detailed written order directing authorities to transfer former Prime Minister and PTI founder Imran Khan from prison to Shifa International Hospital, Islamabad, within two days.
According to the court order, the government and relevant authorities have also been directed to submit complete details of all cases registered against Imran Khan, including arrests, ongoing trials and convictions.
The Supreme Court ordered that a high-level medical board be constituted in consultation with the administration of Shifa International Hospital. The board will include a physician, general surgeon, specialist in internal medicine, ophthalmologist and cardiologist.
The medical board will conduct a comprehensive examination of Imran Khan and oversee his treatment. His personal physician, Dr Faisal Sultan, and his sister, Dr Uzma Khan, will be permitted to remain involved during the medical examination and treatment process.

The court further ruled that all expenses related to Imran Khan’s medical facilities and treatment at Shifa International Hospital will be borne by Imran Khan himself or his family.
Restrictions on Sharing Medical Information
According to the written order, until the next hearing, no member of Imran Khan’s family, PTI leader or his lawyer will share information regarding his health condition or medical reports with the media or the public.
The court also directed the government and relevant authorities to ensure that Imran Khan is allowed to meet his family once a week.
In addition, authorities have been ordered to facilitate telephone conversations between Imran Khan and his sons twice a week.
The written order formally clarifies the Supreme Court’s directions regarding Imran Khan’s hospital transfer, medical treatment, family meetings and access to medical information.
